Taking advantage of an ancient tradition of the winegrowers in Priorat that consisted of cultivating white grape vines among the black grape vines, we selected the white grape from the different plantations to produce Gran Clos Blanc, a coupage of White Grenache with a small portion of Macabeu

Vines, like people, often reach their peak in the face of adversity. Our award-winning wines come from vines that struggle daily to survive in dense slate soils on steep hillsides. Their fruit offers a unique mineral complexity that could come from no other place on earth and has done so since Carthusian monks first planted vines in Priorat in the 12th century.

September 14th - September 25th 2019

76% Garnacha Blanca, 24% Macabeo

From vines up to 60 years old in the iconic Font De la Pallissa vineyard. Natural fining and barrel fermentation. Aged on lees. Batonnage in French oak barrels.

Straw yellow. Luminous with golden rim.

Complex and expressive aromas with minerality and notes of peach, quince, herbs and balsamic.

Well-balanced, ripe and fresh, with breadth and good structure. An expressive wine with fruity texture and concentration in the mouth. Lingring fruity, mineral and forest herbs aftertaste.

Food Pairings

Foie gras, pates and terrines, also fresh goat and blue cheeses highlight this wine wonderfully. Due to the high floral and fruit concentration it also pairs perfectly with any meat or fish cooked with fresh fruits, as well as shrimps and calamari.
